We Kashmiris have lost our identity, because we are waving the flags of other countries instead of our own Kashmir flag.
The girl who wrote a letter to Hurriyat is logical and appreciable. I support her views. No body can dub us as traitor, or blame us as anti Kashmiri. If we want freedom, we should raise our own flag instead of Pakistani or ISIS flags which would fetch nothing but more agony by the Indian forces. International community itself is in a fix, what Kashmiris want. Why we raise slogans that Kashmir will become Pakistan or we want Pakistan.
No doubt, as a Muslim neighbors she supports our cause, OK that is good, all Muslims countries support us, for atrocities committed on us by Indian forces. But Pakistan herself is engulfed in terrorism, every day people die their in numbers, they themselves cannot bring and restore peace in their country, what will they do for us.
An old man whose age is about 87 when asked, about our freedom struggle, he told that he supports the struggle, and has seen all political changes that took place from 1947, even accord between Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and Nehru and with other politicians of that time, now many of us speak ill of him, what he did, has not he invited Indian forces on this land to save Kashmir from Pakistani forces known as ( khabalies) who looted and ransacked the Kashmir, the things would have been different on ground level, then the old man with a smile told, if after merging with Pakistan as today’s leaders and youth want, they are doing blunder as Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah did, after 5 or 10 years, we will ask help from India, to make us free from Pakistan now. Ask Azad Kashmir people how they are treated, they have lost their identity neither they are called Pakistani nor Kashmiri.
Our logic of constructive freedom is missing. We ourselves don’t know what we want. India who doesn’t like Pakistan and even people of India don’t like Pakistan, it pains India, when we tell her, we want Pakistan. Every country of the world who is under imperialism, fights for one goal that is freedom or they fight to get merged with other country, no never. Every country is fighting for its identity and to see their country on a map of world as free and independent country. Till now as I myself live in downtown, has seen lot of bloodshed from 1991 till 2016. Many people have lost their lives for our beloved Kashmir, to free us from clutches of Indian forces. We all know it is a disputed land since 1947 but not to get merged with Pakistan. I have never seen youths waving their own Kashmiri flags but alas only of Pakistan and of ISIS that has nothing to do with our freedom struggle far far away. Our so called leaders must think to reconstruct our struggle in a logical way under one flag of our own Kashmir.
If we will go on chanting slogans in favor of Pakistan, raising their flags, India will never go for talks with separatists and would never come on table with stakeholders of the state. It is impossible. Both the countries fight for their ego and they will not let their ego down, only yes, innocent killings of Kashmiris will continue and bloodbath will be on roads. India will fight to its last drop of blood but will never allow Kashmir to become a part of Pakistan. Everybody wants freedom, from a prospective point but from both India and Pakistan, minorities feel safe in India but not with Pakistan, as they see daily how minorities are treated in Pakistan, they feel unsafe and are supporting this freedom struggle by compulsion and not by heart and they are leaving the state or are in fear of to be killed today or tomorrow. We need freedom, for our own identity, so that we would be identified in the world by our own flag, country, name and not by mercy of others identity.
Rest next time, but our think tanks must must must think over this, where is our flag and where are we.
