Two locals from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district died in fatal road accident while on way to home after meeting their relative languishing in Kathua Jail. The accident occurred near Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu Highway on Tuesday midnight.
A police official told that four persons of Zagigam hamlet of Pulwama district after meeting a detained relative at Kathua Jail were on way to their home when their private car met with an accident near Banihal. “Two person Showkat Ahmed and Muhammad Nafees died on spot while Muhammad Akbar and Muhammad Shafi were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Banihal in critical condition.
“Their car rolled down into a gorge near Banihal after the driver lost control over the vehicle,” the police official said.
