NC legislator Dr Shahnaz Ganaie today voiced concern about the statement of rightwing BJP leader Sadhvi Prachi and MLA Khanpur (Delhi) Pranav Singh that it is time to make India free from Muslims.
The opposition members created hue and cry over the issue terming it against the law and fabric of India.
Ganaie said this is the serious issue and government can’t remain silent on it.
Later, Minister for Education and government spokesperson Nayeem Akhter said that without Muslims India is nothing. He said that India can’t develop without Muslims.
After that BJP members said they don’t want to make this an issue and create tension in the house.
