Vigilance has registered a case under FIR No.14/2016 under Prevention of Corruption Act against Enforcement Inspector of J&K LAWDA namely Ishrat Aslam of Ishber Nishat.

The Vigilance said that despite being entrusted with the job of preventing illegal constructions around Dal Lake, the accused has constructed two structures at Gupt Ganga Nishat in violation of the building permissions obtained by him in the name of her mother.

These illegal structures have been found in commercial use of the accused, though permission granted was for residential purposes. This is the 5th case registered by VOK in the current year against officials of J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA).
