A bullet-riddled body of a man was found in Gudoora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yousuf Lone, a resident of Gudoora.
People in his native village alleged that the forces killed him while police denied the charges.
Police official reportedly said that the deceased was an over-ground worker of Lashkar-e-Toiba militants adding that a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
Meanwhile Police also claims that he was killed by the militants. “During the initial investigation it was revealed that the deceased was fired upon by militants during the intervening night of 18-19 May 2017”, police statement reads.
Police said that a case FIR number 174/2017 under section 302 RPC and 7/27 Arms Act has been registered in PS Pulwama. Further investigation is going on, police adds.
