COVID resurgence: GMC Sgr cancels winter vacation

Srinagar: Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases, the authorities at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar Monday cancelled the winter vacation of all faculty members, working at GMC and its associated hospitals.

Faculty members have been asked to join duties without any fail.

“In view of sudden upsurge of COVID-19/OMICRON Cases, the Winter Vacation-2022 of Faculty Members stands cancelled and all the Faculty members of this Institution on vacation shall resume their duties on 11th January, 2022 (Tuesday), without fail,” reads the order issued by Principal GMC Srinagar, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

It is pertinent to mention here that KNO carried a series of stories about the sufferings of public due to the winter vacation of doctors.
