Srinagar: Sub-Divisional Magistrate South Srinagar city on Monday fined those who did not wear face masks in the city.
Police and civil administration officials led by SDM South Srinagar city Owais Ahmed visited many parts on the directions of DC Srinagar and advised people to always wear masks in public places.
The SDM imposed fine on passengers, drivers and conductors for overloading and for not using face mask.
While talking to reporters, the SDM said that everyone who won’t use face mask will be fined. He said Omicron cases are on rise and there is a need to take precautionary measures.
He said coaching center’s have already been directed to switch to online mode. In response to a question, he said that those who will violate Covid-19 SOPs will face music.
