Srinagar, Jan 06: The Ajas police on Wednesday facilitated transportation for a pregnant lady in Ajas area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and referred her to hospital amid high snowfall in the district.
Reports said that a pregnant lady, resident of Waza mohalla Ajas suffered labour pain on Wednesday evening. Subsequently due to unavailability of public transport, the family couldn’t arrange a vehicle to ferry the patient as such they informed the police post Ajas, the said Division Officer in no time arranged his official vehicle for the patient. Accompanied by policemen the lady was immediately shifted to CHC Sumbal for surgery.
This philanthropic approach of the officer has won him huge respect and big heart among the locals and his dedication is hugely appreciated.
Pertinently, the said officer along with his special team yesterday night rescued more than 50 vehicles stranded at Churtung mode area of Bandipora district by arranging a JCB machine on his liaison. (KDC)
