Pulwama, Jan 11: Joint Forces apprehended two militants from South Kashmir on Monday.
A police official said that Awantipora police along with the help of soldiers from 42 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF personnel from 130 Battalion arrested two militant associates who were affiliated with banned militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad.
These arrests were made from Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police official said that arrested militant associates were involved in providing shelter, support, logistics, as well as in transporting of arms and ammunition of the militants in Awantipora and Tral areas and passing sensitive information to the militatns of proscribed outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad.
The arrested militant associates have been identified as Shezaan Gulzar Beigh from Gadhikhal Chersoo and Waseem-ul-Rehman Sheikh from Midoora Awantipora.
Police official said that incriminating material including explosive material and ammunition has been recovered from both the arrested persons. (KNT)
