Kupwrara, Dec 03: District Development Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting of Sectoral officers, Engineers, other field functionaries to review the developmental activities under rural development and panchayat Raj. The sector wise and block wise review was taken up to ending November 2017, the Assistant commissioner development Yaar Ali Khan and chief planning officer Imtiyaz Ahamad Briefed the chair about the overall development and progress achieved under respective sector up to November 2017.The scheme wise review held under MGNREGA, PMAY-G , SBM, BADP.
It was given out that the target of labour budget 19 Crore PDS was given out of which 12 Crs PDS achieved . An expenditure of Rs 41.90 Crs have been made under MGNREGA. Taking the review of physical status of works it was given out that out of 8744 works 1559 works have been completed and the remaining shall be completed during current financial year. While taking the review of implementation of Swach Bharat Mission (SBM) it was given out that 85637 House Hold Toilets (HHT) have been targeted up to 2019 of them 31200 households have been identified of them 3991 have been finalized financially which accounts 36.43% completion of units upto 11 2017.
The meeting was informed that under Prime Ministers Awas Yojna – Gramin (PMAY-G) the target was fixed 1699 low cost houses of them 1509 beneficiaries have been registered, out of 1469 beneficiaries registered for Geo Tag 1432 cases were sanctioned and released ist installment. The chair was also informed about Model villages taken up under BADP and TSP. Out of 13 Model villages,the works in Model Village Shaloora and Sarkuli are at final stage and works in other model villages have been taken up and deadline fixed Dec 31,2017 for completion of all model villages. The chair was also briefed that works under Convergence are also in full swing.
The DDC impressed upon the executing and implementing agencies to clear all pendency by the end of December 2017 with creation of durable assets which include connectivity, developing of play fields, fencing and boundary walls to government assets, culverts, water harvesting structures, public parks and other economic activities be given priority. He asked the concerned BDOs to complete the works under the given deadline, as BDOs are responsible to fallow up the instruction given during the review meeting. He also impressed upon the technical staff and other field functionaries of Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj Institution to submit their monthly progress reports under all schemes development for placing the data on public domain /relevant website(s). Chair also directed to the participants to keep close liaison with REW, ACD and DPO for achievement of targets.
