‘Katra-Banihal rail link to be completed by 2020’
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday met Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal and discussed issues regarding railways connectivity and projects in J&K.
In a series of tweets, Mehbooba said that Goyal assured her that the Katra-Banihal railway tracks will be completed by 2020.
Also the introduction of glass top coaches between Katra-Jammu and specially designed coaches between Banihal – Baramulla to promote tourism, was also agreed upon.
Mehbooba also highlighted the need for cold storage rail containers for transporting apples to different parts of country.
