His sayings are treasure of wisdom for people to follow: Mirwaiz
Jammu Kashmir Mutahida Majlis Ulema’s (MMU) head and Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam Nooruddin Noorani, who in Kashmir is often referred with love as Nund e Reshi, on his 598th annual Urs.
Mirwaiz will address the Friday congregational gathering on October 20, 2017 at Chrar-e-Sharief on the invite of the shrine Intizamia committee.
Mirwaiz said that Sheikh-ul-Alam was an example of Shariat, Tariqat, Haqeeqat and Morifat and a top religious and spiritual leader who conveyed the message of Quran and its edicts to Kashmiri people through his beautiful couplets in Kashmiri language.
The Mirwaiz said that even after centuries of his passing away, Sheikh-ul-Alam’s couplets are as relevant today as they were then and the religious preachers and Ulemas would often quote his couplets to drive home the message of Islam and the teachings of the holy prophet (PBUH). He said besides the mystic saints sayings are a treasure of wisdom for people to ponder upon and follow.
Mirwaiz said people had a right to celebrate his Urs only if they implement Sheikh-ul-Alam’s message which is most apt in these trying and hard times for Kashmiri people. (KNS)
