A bank employee was killed in a road accident in Yechkoot village of Ichgam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday, police said.
A police official said a car, bearing registration number JKO1L 1109, collided with a passenger vehicle in Ichgam, resulting in grave injuries to the driver.
He was rushed to District Hospital Budgam where he succumbed, he said.
The deceased was identified as Tariq Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Raheem Dar, a resident of Batmaloo area of Srinagar.
He was an employee of the J&K Bank and was posted at Khansahab Budgam.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started the investigation, said the official.
