Enforcement Wing of J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority today carried out the second round of demolitions of illegal constructions and violations in and around Dal Lake in Nishat.
A number of commercial establishments as well as residential structures were demolished by the Demolition Squad falling in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Nishat.
The demolished commercial establishments belong to Ali Mohammad Dar R/o Laam whereas residential structures demolished belong to Mushtaq Ahmad Dar. Mohammad Sultan Dar, Mohammad Sultan Dar all residents of Laam. Moreover, residential structure of Bilal Ahmad Bhat R/o Brein, Nishat was also demolished.
One JCB and other demolition equipments were pressed into service while carrying out anti-encroachment drive.
The Lakes and Waterways Development Authority has reiterated that the drive shall be intensified and carried out with elaborate arrangements.
