Amid curfew like restrictions in parts of Kashmir valley and two-day shutdown call given by separatists, the situation across Kashmir remained tense on second day and a complete shutdown is being observed after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Bhat was killed by government forces in Saimoo village of Tral on Saturday.
Rising Kashmir has learnt that shops, colleges and schools and business establishments remained closed across Kashmir and traffic was off the roads. Majority of the roads wore deserted look.
The authorities have deployed huge contingents of police and paramilitary forces across the Valley to enforce strict restrictions. Major roads in towns leading to district headequarters have also been sealed to thaw protests.
Meanwhile, the train service between Banihal to Baramulla in north Kashmir also remains suspended.
