Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that his father’s aim was to take the Jammu and Kashmir out of political uncertainty and bring peace and prosperity without derailing development.
According to KNS our Correspondent, on the first death anniversary of his father and former chief minister of the State Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at Indoor Stadium on Saturday, she was talking with the media gathering she said, “Mufti Sahabs political aim was to take the state out of the political uncertainty, until this situation is not addressed development is not possible here. He wanted that political process and development process shall go together,” Mehbooba said.
She said that his father in his first tenure; 2002, made cordial environment between India and Pakistan and many routes across the Line of Control (LoC) were opened.
“In 2002 Mufti Sahab made very cordial political environment but unfortunately that was derailed due non- seriousness of previous governments here and in centre,” She said.
Adding that, she and her team are trying to implement the Agenda of Alliance and they have huge mandate to work for the state on development and political level. “We too are trying to work on the same lines as Mufti Sahab did and have to work for our youth who are shining in different fields,” Mehbooba adds.
She said that unemployment and political crisis are challenges for them for which they are doing their best. She said it is very unfortunate our kids who should have been in schools and sports fields, are being used for political gains.
