Ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday hailed JK Bank’s rehabilitation package, terming the decision a major relief to the borrowers across the state who suffered due to prolonged disturbance in the valley.
In a statement issued, PDP’s Srinagar District President and MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam said such an action will help the business fraternity in a long way to put their businesses back on the path of recovery and growth.
Hailing the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for raising the hardships faced by Kashmir’s business community due to unrest at different levels, Alam said the earnest efforts by the chief minister have finally yielded results and has made the perturbed business fraternity to heave a sigh of relief after months of logjam.
PDP’s upper house member stated further that the perpetual efforts of the Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu in addressing the grievances of the Valley based business men is an eye opener for all about how seriously the government should think of its people in the times of distress. “Though the road was bumpy and uneven- rutted with detours and obstacles, the able command of the finance minister has taken the ship to the shore and such efforts would continue in the future as well,” Alam said.
Alam said that Drabu’s abilities could be of much use to the perturbed people of the state and that it is a golden opportunity for one and all in JK to see finances being tamed and demystified at large.
He said the people of the state are thankful to the JK Bank Chairman and his associates in addressing the grievances of the business community. Alam said the fraternity should be accorded with the Business Interruption Insurance Scheme as JK is in need of the same. “Also it is expected that the conglomerates representing the business community in the state shall be given the patient hearing so that he ideas being flouted by them could also be taken into consideration,” said the PDP district president.
