Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Wednesday claimed the responsibility of Akhnoor attack in which according to Defense sources a soldier Lance Naik Rajender Singh of 2 Raj Rifles was killed and another was injured.
Hizb Operational Spokesperson Burhan-u-Din told Kashmir based news agency over phone that the attack in Akhnoor sector of the Line of Control in Jammu was carried out by the special squad of Hizbul Mujhadeen and at least three Indian troopers were killed in the attack.
“The outfit has decided to honour and reward those militant who participated in the attack. Such attacks will continue and will stop only when India withdraws from Kashmir,” he said.
Pertinently, Defense establishment on Tuesday said that one of its soldier was killed and another injured when army foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control.
