8 more youth shifted to Jammu Jails
Dr G M Hubi has been booked under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Kot Balwal Jail Jammu.
Family sources told CNS that Hubi was shifted to Kot Balwal Jail on Tuesday night. He was earlier arrested and lodged in police station Charar-e-Sharif in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. “He has been booked under PSA of which orders were passed by DC Budgam on 30/08/2016.”
Meanwhile, police have booked other eight persons under the Public Safety Act (PSA) across Kashmir. Four persons were booked under PSA in Hajin area of Bandipora alone and they have been identified as: Nissar Ahmad Parray, s/o Abdul Rehman Parray, and Ishaq Ahmad Parray, s/o Abdul Majeed, both residents of Parray Mohalla Hajin, Muhammad Irfan of Paribal and Muhammad Hafiz of Vijpara village of Hajin. Police have also booked a father and son identified as Ghulam Nabi and his son Zahoor Ahmad from Chewa village of Bandipora district.
Four youths were booked under PSA in Ganderbal district. The youths were identified as Tariq Ahmad Sofi, son of Muhammad Maqbool Sofi of Saloora, Nasir Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Muhammad Wani of Kachhan, Feroz Ahmad Ganai, son of Ghulam Muhammad Ganai of Baroosa Lar, and Tariq Ahmad Malik, son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik of Kangan town.
A police official said that some youth have been evading arrests and they too will be booked under Public Safety Act.
