Asks youth to remain vigilant of black-sheeps
Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chief Shabir Ahmad Shah on today reiterated his appeal to the people of Jammu Kashmir to continue the peaceful struggle for freedom keeping in view the Regular Session of the UN General Assembly in September.
In a statement issued to PTK, Shah said: “We have to continue our struggle as we are the guardians of the sacrifices laid down for the cause of freedom and are duty-bound to fulfil our responsibilities with regard to freedom movement. In view of the UN General Assembly session, we have to make preparations with regard to highlighting the Kashmir issue globally. We hope Pakistan will act as a spokesperson of Kashmiris in the said session and highlight the Kashmir situation before the world.”
Shah also appealed the Kashmiri Diaspora particularly in US and UK to register protests outside the UN offices. “There should be strong protests during the speech of Indian representative to make it clear to world how the country which claims to be the world’s largest democracy is involved in massacre of youths and is blinding the children in its occupied territory of Jammu Kashmir,” he said.
The DFP chairman asked people to remain vigilant of the black-sheep who are on a mission to sabotage our movement by creating confusion among masses. “Though, our people have exhibited utmost resolve and steadfastness during the ongoing movement, we still need to remain vigilant of the forces hell bent on sabotaging our peaceful struggle. No one should be allowed to play with the freedom movement. Our youth should play role on forefront,” he said and hailed the role of religious parties.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah while expressing grief over the martyrdom of a youth Danish Manzoor of Nadibal, Rafiabad said the so-called government has let loose its forces. Holding administration responsible for the firing on peaceful protesters, Shah said they will be held answerable for their crimes in public court.
