A photojournalist Muneeb Ul Islam who works with daily Kashmir Reader and daily Roshni from south Kashmir was beaten up by the government forces at Semthan Bijerbehara in Anantnag district on Monday while covering protests there.
Muneeb said the CRPF troopers also used him as a shield and put before the youth, who were throwing stones on the forces. “First the CRPF troopers thrashed me and then put me ahead of them so that I get hit by stones. Two stones hit me” he said.
