Asking J&K Police to behave differently from army and CRPF, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed today expressed his deep anger and anguish over the use of force against protestors in Langate and Kralgund areas.

In a statement issued to PTK, Er Rasheed said, “Police force need not to forget that they have to live and die with the same society, they are in confrontation on streets of Kashmir and must understand that it is not a law and order problem. Every policeman must be feeling from core of his heart that Kashmiris are not fighting their individual rights.”

He said it is high time when every jawan and officer of J&K police should revisit his behaviour while dealing with his own people and must not lose his cool under worst circumstances and should not forget that in every area their own family members and beloved children are leading or participating the protests, as such no Kashmiri can afford isolating their own fellow citizens wearing uniform.”

Er Rasheed further added he will ensure that the damage caused to shops and other establishments in Langate and Kralgund areas will be compensated and said we will not beg before the atrocious and insensitive government to compensate the losses. (PTK)
