LAWDA demolishes illegal structures in Dalgate area

The Enforcement Wing of the LAWDA with the assistance of Police Stations, Khanyar and Nehru park today undertaken special demolition drive in Dalgate area and demolished about a dozen illegal structures.

The demolished structures included some existing and some under-construction commercial establishments.

The LAWDA has launched a special demolition drive in and around the Dal Lake to prevent any such unlawful construction activity in the restricted areas.

It was observed that some scrupulous elements are taking advantage of the prevailing scenario in the Valley and indulging in unlawful constructions at some places.

The authorities have warned such elements to desist from the practice and any such attempt will attract punitive action under law.
