Terming the policies of pro-India parties as a reason for economic crisis in Jammu Kashmir, Hurriyat (M) Monday said the statement of the so-called Chief Minister blaming the conglomerate for the shutdown calls for economic instability was meant to cover the heinous crimes perpetuated by selling out the interests of the people to New Delhi.
The amalgam spokesman in a statement said that said the regional CM at the behest of RSS was overseeing harassment of resistance leadership although the reality was that if Jammu Kashmir was facing economic predicament, it was due to the illegal occupation of India and pillaging of its abundant natural resources by Government of India for which only pro-India parties were responsible.
The conglomerate said the loot of Jammu Kashmir’s resources had brought economic instability to the state which was a deliberate ploy to make Kashmiris dependent and the only people who were deriving benefits from it were state’s pro-India politicians, he said.
People of Jammu Kashmir were pursuing a peaceful struggle based on their just rights, and, being subjected to atrocities and harassment by the state, had no better option than observing a peaceful shutdown, he said.
The amalgam said by blaming shutdowns for economic mess in the state and overlooking the real reasons, the regional CM was being more loyal than the king to New Delhi, he said.
Condemning the use of force, atrocities and harassment by police and govt forces in Sopore during the holy month of Ramadan and even on a peaceful, religious gathering on Laylat al-Qadr by firing pepper gas and stopping them from performing religious obligations, the APHC statement said this was interference in religious affairs of the people, he said.
Terming the unleashing of terror by police and govt forces for the threat and harassment of the people in entire area as the worst example of state-sponsored terrorism, the statement said people were being targeted deliberately, he added.
