Traffic Police starts 2 days special drive against traffic violators

Immediately after its recent three-day traffic awareness and counseling campaign to sensitize bike riders to adopt safety measures while riding, Traffic Police City Srinagar launched a two-day special drive against bike riders at vantage crossings viz. Hyderpora, Fire Service, Jehangir Chowk, Radio Kashmir besides Boulevard and apprehended 725 violators for not using Crash helmets, resorting to Double Pillion and use of mobile phone while riding.  Moreover, 127 two wheelers were also seized.

During the drive the apprehended bikers were counseled on spot by Traffic Officers about the consequences of traffic accidents in absence of safety norms.
