Abhaya ban after math: DPS orders EXTRA break to students

A day after Delhi Public School (DPS) management closed the school for ‘summer vacation’, the government said that the school has given “extra break” to their students and there is no problem in its announcement.

“The school has given extra break to its students. If the parents’ association has any problem with the school management’s decision, they can approach the directorate,” Director School Education, Shah Faesal said.

“The will have to follow the summer vacation in case the government announces in future,” he said.

After furore over ‘Abhaya ban’ in the school and protests by its students, DPS, according to insiders has shot SMSs to the parents, informing them about the about the development in the School. “Dear parent, school will close for summer vacations from Monday, 20th June, 2016.” The management also “apologized” for unintentionally hurting the sentiments of people.
