Four persons were injured as clashes amid shutdown erupted at Qaimoh in Kulgam district of south Kashmir against the alleged ransacking of houses yesterday after firing on under construction of SOG camp.
Locals alleged that soon after the firing on SOG camp, the SOG personal later around 11:00 pmransacked the houses of Tauseef Ahmad Sheikh and Abdul Majid at Rampora in Qaimoh. Both Tauseef and Majid are said to be militants.
Sources said a complete shutdown was observed in Qaimoh against the alleged ransacking during which clashes erupted between locals and forces.
While three persons sustained minor injuries due to teargas shells but fourth protester identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar was hit by pellets in his neck. The injured youth has been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
