‘Don’t take any decision in haste for holding dialogue with separatists’
At picturesque Patnitop which is 6,640 feet above the sea level, top RSS and BJP leaders today started the two-day brainstorming conclave of India Foundation- a BJP backed think tank- to set agenda for the deepening crisis in Kashmir after the killing of militant commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
Reportedly, some 80 intellectuals comprising journalists, political experts and thinkers inclined towards the BJP and Sangh Parivar are part of the closed door conclave.
According to sources privy to the meeting, top RSS leaders will attend all eight sessions of the conclave in which agenda will be set to move forward in engaging dialogue with some groups of Kashmir Valley, including separatist groups.
Union Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani and BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav also attended the inaugural session. Irani later flew back to Delhi.
The intellectuals will be discussing the prevailing situation in Kashmir.
Sources said the participants in the first few sessions suggested that nationalist forces should not be demoralised while taking any decision on initiating dialogue with separatists or any faction of the Hurriyat Conference.
