Strongly condemning the grenade attack at jehangir chowk, Srinagar today in which a precious life was reportedly lost besides leaving many injured, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and described the attack as cowardly and shameful act.
The party Spokesperson in a Statement condemned the attack and urged upon the State Police to ascertain the identity of killers for severe punishment, as that such attacks are being carried out to vitiate atmosphere in the State, which should not be allowed,.
The Spokesperson added that the perpetrators of the crime must not be spared; they must be dealt sternly. The Spokesperson offered deep condolences to bereaved family and sympathized with them. (PTK)

01 person dies, many injured in grenade attack
Terrorists today evening hurled a grenade at Jehangir Chowk, which exploded in the busy market, claiming one life and injuring about 13 persons.
Fourteen persons were injured in a terrorist attack, after they hurled a grenade at Jehangir Chowk in which about 14 persons including Traffic Police personnel were injured.
The injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment where one of the injured identified as Maqsood Ahmad Shah son of Ali Mohammad Shah resident of Budgam succumbed to his injuries.
The Traffic police personnel was shifted to Police Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. The investigation of the incident is going on. (PTK)
