Pulwama, : In a spirited observance of World Environment Day, students from various private and government schools in Tral sub-district of Pulwama, conducted a massive rally on Wednesday. The rally commenced from Bus Stand Tral and traversed its route to culminate at the Indoor Stadium in Bajwani area.
The event, graced by the presence of esteemed officials including Tehsildar Tral, Imran Ahmad, Naib Tehsildar Tral, Ghulam Nabi Wani, and other dignitaries, served as a platform for advocating environmental conservation.
Amidst the vibrant procession, students fervently carried placards, disseminating messages on the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment. Dr. Arshid Ahmad, one of the key organizers, emphasized the rally’s objective of raising awareness about various forms of pollution and advocating strategies for its mitigation.
Expressing his sentiments to the media, Tehsildar Tral, Imran Ahmad stressed the imperative need for afforestation initiatives, asserting, “We need to plant more and more trees to preserve the sanctity of our environment.”
The rally stands as a testament to the proactive efforts of the youth in safeguarding the environment, reflecting a collective resolve towards fostering sustainable practices for a healthier planet.
