Srinagar, : Hundreds of teachers in Jammu and Kashmir continue to wait for their conversion from Teacher Grade IIIrd to Grade IInd despite them having cleared their files at local levels.
A delegation of teachers, on wishing anonymity, told GNS that they have got their cases cleared from respective District Level Screening Committees headed by the Joint Director and other levels.
“We have attained/enhanced the eligibility to meet the criteria of the conversion from the current grade to the next grade even as our files have been duly processed at the ZEO and CEO levels and submitted before the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir & Jammu division respectively,” the delegation members said, adding despite a lapse of more than five months, the final approval has not been granted in this regard.
“Despite approaching the authorities on several occasions, all their assurances have turned hollow,” the delegation members lamented.
Despite repeated attempts, the Director School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain couldn’t be made available to comment over the impending issue.
It is pertinent to mention here that the apathy by the DSEJK is being resorted to, despite express directions from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to all the public authorities to clear every file within thirty days of completion of the requisite ground formalities. (GNS)
