Srinagar : Police and army arrested five militant associates of Lashker-e-Toiba in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said on Wednesday.
“Police along with Army (62 RR) arrested five (militant) associates in Khag area of the district,” a police spokesperson said in a statement to GNS .
He identified them as Rouf Ahmad Wani, resident of Bhatangan Khag, Hilal Ahmad Malik, resident of Bathipora Khag, Tawfeeq Ahmad Dar, resident of Nowrooz Baba Khag, Danish Ahmad Dar, resident of Dar Mohalla Nawrooz Baba Khag, and Showkat Ali Dar, resident of Bathipora Khag.
“Incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation,” he said, adding, “Accordingly, a case FIR No. 45/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khag and investigation has been taken up.” However police did specify when and where they were arrested.
