Bhopal: President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday described as “extremely unfortunate” the fact that a section of Indian opinion is associating Yoga with religion with the motive of generating misunderstanding and spreading fallacy.
While addressing the Arogya Manthan programme – on ‘One Nation-One Health System is the Need of the Hour’ – organised by Arogya Bharti in the Madhya Pradesh capital, the First Citizen laid emphasis on a simple lifestyle, balanced diet, Yoga and related subjects for ensuring a disease-free existence.
“If two individuals professing divergent faiths approach a medical professional and the doctor suggests Yogasanas, there shall be no demurral as the sufferers are concerned regarding their own well-being. The patients will certainly perform Yoga. Creed never poses a hurdle to treatment. It is imperative to pay attention to this aspect as well. It is necessary to comprehend that contact with nature is the sole route to a healthy life,” he averred.
