Biker dies in Sopore road accident

Sopore: A 25-year-old biker died in a road accident in Model Town area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the youth identified as Peerzada Musadiq Ahmed son of Peerzada Abdul Ahad of Tujjar area of Sopore was critically injured when he was hit by a tipper near Model Town.

He said that soon after the incident, the injured was rushed to community health centre Sopore, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

“After medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites,” he said.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and a case has been registered in a local police station. (KNS)
