Jama’at-e-Islami, KCCI extends support
SRINAGAR, FEB 12: The Joint Resistance Leadership on Tuesday called for a complete shutdown on February 13 and 14 to protest and resist the viscous move of “late announcement and ambiguity over dates of hearing” in the case.
The hearing is scheduled in the Supreme Court on February 13 and 14 while the state government has requested the apex court t defer the hearing since there is president’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmiri’s have proved their mettle and resilience to India and the world over the last three decades by standing firm on their principled demand against a mighty military power.
JRL said that to protest and resist this viscous move a complete strike will be observed on February 13 and 14 and if any adverse order is announced leadership will announce a mass agitation there on.
Leadership said that they understand that frequent shutdowns add to the hardships but it is imperative to register our strong protest in the wake of such threatening measures by the Indian state.
Meanwhile Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir also termed the attempts of tinkering with Article 35-A as ‘unacceptable’ and pledged complete support to peaceful protest program issued by the Joint Resistant Leadership (JRL).
Jama’at spokesperson Advocate Zahid Ali, in a statement said that any attempt of tinkering with Article 35A, which provides special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, is unacceptable and all vicious designs by anti-state forces will be foiled.
