Normal life was on Saturday restored across Kashmir after Friday’s shutdown against the Sunday’s south Kashmir civilian and militant killings.
On Friday, life remained paralyzed in the valley due to a spontaneous shutdown.
Except south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Pulwama, primary and high schools opened in the Valley today.
At many places in the Valley, school children donning their uniforms were waiting at bus stops. Offices and commercial establishments also opened, while public transport was also restored.
However, Kangan area of Ganderbal district remained shut today where was a civilian was killed on Tuesday. In rest of the district, commercial establishments and schools opened today. (KNS)
