Srinagar, Feb 26: Gunshots were heard early Monday morning after government forces laid siege in north Kashmir’s Hajin Bandipora.
Sources said that as soon as the forces cordoned off Bon Mohalla of Hajin in Bandipora district at around 4:30 am in the morning a massive exchange of gunfire was heard for almost 10 minutes.
They said that the guns have since fallen silent, but the cordon remains intact. Scores of youth are also clashing with government forces who are lobbing tear smoke shells to disperse them, local sources said.
