Jammu, Feb 12 : Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here on Monday accused the National TV channels of portraying negative picture about the situation in Kashmir during debates and regretted that leaders calling for dialogue are dubbed anti-nationals by the anchors.
According to the correspondent, speaking in the assembly before the adjournment of the house, the chief minister said dialogue is the only way out and talks with Pakistan are imperative for restoration of peace and normalcy in the state.
Asking TV anchors of National news channels to give up the practice of dubbing leaders seeking dialogue with Pakistan as anti-nationals and calling irrelevant people for the debates on Kashmir situation, the chief minister said four wars have been fought so far but wars couldn’t lead to any solution. She said dialogue with Pakistan is the key to restoration of peace and normalcy in the State. (KNS)
