Srinagar, Dec 19: The Army on Tuesday recovered body of one more missing soldier in Gurez area of Bandipora district.
With the recover, bodies of all the three soldiers have been recovered from the Gurez sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in Bandipora.
The soldier whose body was recovered today has been identified as Rifleman Moorty (32).
The three soldiers of 36 RR had gone missing in Gurez when a snow avalanche hit their picket on December 12, while two soldiers had slipped into a deep gorge in Nowgam sector of the LoC in Kupwara district on the same day.
The Army had deployed specially trained teams of its high altitude warfare school (HAWS) to recover the bodies of the missing soldiers.
In another incident on the same day, a landslide struck Patila Post of Army’s 20 Dogra regiment in Nowgam sector of Handwara in Kupwara district. The searches at Nowgam are also underway as one soldier’s body was still missing.
