According to sources, the Principal Degree College Kupwara organizing committee officers of different sponsoring agencies financial institutions and representatives of different corporate welcomed the chief guest at the venue.
The different developmental departments, financial institutions and private corporate sectors have installed their stalls with relevant informative material at their stalls to aware the participants especially youth of the district entrusted in establishing their own income generating units through the corporate sectors for their placement within the district, state and abroad.
While inspecting the stalls setup by the different departments the DDC expressed his satisfaction for providing the relevant information through pamphlets banners and hoardings installed by the departments about the developmental schemes launched by the govt. for youth in particular and to meet out the burning issues of unemployment menace. However, the chief guest impressed upon the organizers to provide best platform to the talented candidates who are interested to establish their income generating units under KVIB Skill Development KVIC EDI to provide opportunities besides marketing facilities to the private sector adopters.
Meanwhile the DDC along with principal GDC Kupwara and XEN JKPCC paid inspection of some ongoing developmental projects carried out by the JKPCC within the College and reviewed the progress on pace of works there. He was informed that ground and 1st floor of the additional block under Higher Education Sector coming up at a cost of Rs.5.40 crs so far Rs.1.70 crs stands expended. The DDC asked the agency and college administration for mobilizing their resources for timely completion of the project up to June 2018. The JKPCC authorities further informed that the GDC Sogam double storied building is under const. of Rs.13.04 Cr. and 99% work has been completed to commission the college authorities.
