DODA,Nov.26:- As a part of special drive against sale of illicit liquor launched by Doda police, Today on 26-11.2017, on a specific information about selling of illicit liquor near cement bridge pul doda , Police team of Police post pul doda led by IC PP Puldoda SI Bupesh under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Doda Shri Iftkhar Ahmed laid a trap , and apprehended one person namely Chander lal S/o Sant Ram R/o Bajarni Doda. During checking 37 Pouches of illicit liquor 250 ml each were recovered from his possession. In this regards a case FIR No 248/2017 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Doda and Further investigations going on. It is worth to mention that Doda Police under the Command of SSP Doda Sh. Mohammad Shabir launched a special drive against sale of illicit liquor in Doda District and in this regard 64 FIR’s have been registered in Doda District in last Eight months and have recovered more than 2000 pouches of illicit liquor. People of Doda appreciated the role of Doda police in curbing the menace of illicit liquor in Doda District.
