Calls for immediate verification of complaints of encroachments on Hospital land
SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah, today visited the Bone & Joint (B&J) Hospital at Burzulla here for a first-hand assessment of revenue-related issues concerning the proposed expansion of the hospital under the Prime Minister’s Development Package.
The DC was accompanied by concerned Revenue officials, who briefed him about the issues, during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the all the revenue-related issues concerning the proposed expansion of the hospital will be sorted out soon.
The DC’s visit also drew from concerns about reported attempts of encroachments on the hospital land, which he said will be prevented with full earnestness.
He instructed the concerned officials to immediately verify the complaints and remove whatever encroachments are found. He asked for a status report on the issue and the action taken at the earliest.
On the occasion, Dr. Shah called on the general public of the area to report concerns of land-grabbing to the district administration as and when there are such attempts. He assured of prompt action against the complaints.
The DC, while warning of harsh punishments under law against those found involved in land-grabbing, said litigation against offenders shall be undertaken wherever required.
