Srinagar, Nov 23: A local court in Sopore Thursday ordered imprisonment of three jungle smugglers after 11 years of trial in the cases.
Sessions judge Sopore while hearing an 11 year-old case in which three smugglers were booked of cutting forest trees under FIR number 29/2006 under sections of 307, 379, 332, 325, 323, and 6 Forest Act, and were subsequently the trial was going on in the court.
The three accused who have been jailed include Lateef Khan, Hassan Khan and Aslam Khan, all residents of Ludiyagan.
The court has ordered a jail term of 18 months for Lateef Khan and three months each for Hassan Khan and Aslam Khan with fine.
