NEW DELHI: Court in New Delhi on Wednesday extended remand of seven Hurriyat leaders and three other persons in NIA custody till December 15 in allegedly receiving hawala money for fuelling unrest in the valley.
The Patiala Court extended till 15 December the remand of Hurriyat leaders Nayeem Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Mehrajudin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam Farooq Dar, businessman Zahoor Watali, and photojournalist Kamran Yousuf. All these accused are presently lodged in Tihar Jail.
Relatives of some of these leaders confirmed about the remand extension by the court.
While in the money laundering case of senior Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah and Aslam Wani, the court has set January 3, 2018 as the date of next hearing.
