Government forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Rangwar Lalpora area of Kupwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. An official said that a joint operation was launched by police and 28 RR of army in Rangwar after inputs about the presence of militants.
All entry and exit points to the village were sealed to prevent the militants from escaping, he said.Earlier, forces launched a CASO in Mir Mohalla area of Hajin in Bandipora district after inputs about the presence of militants. However, the operation was called off after nothing was found.
