Senior Leader National Conference Moammahd Akbar Lone expresses anguish over proposal regarding opening of liquor shop at Srinagar Airport. He said that this is the first time In history of Jammu & Kashmir an Alcohol Shop is being opened at Sheikh-ul-Alam Airport.
While condemning the Government’s decision regarding the proposal, he said that the State of Jammu and Kashmir which is popularly known as Resh ve’ar and Peer ve’ar has its beautiful and dignified culture and social values.
Lone said that the promoting tourism at the cost of moral values is disgraceful besides matter of great concern. “Even the Supreme Court had last year directed authorities not to allow purchase of liquor around any national highway. Aallowing a liquor shop at Srinagar Airport has no justification”, he said.
Lone further added that Kashmiri people will hit streets if the wine shop was opened at the airport. He said government must keep in mind the consequence of any such move.
