Two army soldiers who was injured during ongoing gunfight at Samboora area of Pulwama district has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, official sources said.
Sources said that the soldier had sustained serious bullet injuries in the militant fire and was shifted to military hospital where he has succumbed.
As already reported, army’s 50 RR, SOG and CRPF acting on a tip off cordoned off Samboora area of Pampore this evening. As joint team of forces intensified the searches and fired some warning shots towards a suspected spot, the hiding militants believed to be two in number opened fire, triggering off an encounter.
In the ensuing gunfight, a militant was killed and his identity is being ascertained. Sources said the firing gas has stopped in the area but search operation is still going on.
