Suspected militants on Thursday carried out two grenade attacks on police and CRPF installations in Kulgam and Tral areas of south Kashmir, leaving four persons including three forces men injured.
A police official said that the militants attacked the police station with a grenade at around 4:30 resulting in injuries to two cops and a civilian at DH Pora in Kulgam district.
“Both the policemen and civilian have been shifted nearby hospital for treatment. The official identified the injured cops as Muhammad Altaf and Janbaz Ahmad while the civilian was identified as Muhammad Altaf Magray.
Meanwhile, a para-military trooper sustained splinter injuries after militants on Thursday evening lobbed a grenade on CRPF camp in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Official sources told that militants hurled a grenade on 182 BN CRPF camp.
However, the device exploded near main gate of the camp. In the incident, a para military trooper Satish Chandra sustained splinter head injuries and has been hospitalized, they said.
Meanwhile, government forces arrived on both the incident spots and have launched searches to track down the assailants.(GNS)
