US-based smartphone manufacturer Blu has launched a new smartphone in its Vivo series. Dubbed as the Vivo 8L, the biggest highlight of this smartphone is the 20MP front camera. The handset is available at $149 right now, after a promotional discount of $50, on Amazon.
In terms of specs, the Blu Vivo 8L comes in an aluminum back and sports a 5.3-inch HD In-Cell display with a 1280x720p resolution and 277ppi with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the device is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor with 3GB RAM. It has 32GB internal storage and a microSD card of up to 64GB. While the front camera is 20MP, the camera at the back is a 13MP Sony IMX 258 camera with flash. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery that is claimed to deliver 30 days stand by time and two days of available usage.
For audio, the Vivo 8L is equipped with the MAXXAudio technology. For additional features, the device offers split screen function and has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Last year, Blu launched Life One X2 with a full-metal unibody and fingerprint sensor embedded into home button. Blu Life One X2 has a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The display is made scratch resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Under the hood, is a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB/4GB of RAM.
The handset offers 16GB/64GB of internal storage options, which can be expanded further by another 64GB using a microSD card. The dual-SIM device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and sports a 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, LED Flash, 1080p video recording. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED Flash.
The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
