The “kidnapping” of an eighth class student in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district triggered protest sit-in on the road leading to Tral on Wednesday, reports said.
According to locals Muneez Javed was kidnapped from the courtyard of his house in Kanjinag village last evening.
The protesters demanding the whereabouts of Muneez blocked the Tral Awantipora road.
According to the family of Muneeza, they heard a shout “Abbu” last evening when Muneeza was in the courtyard. “We rushed out of the house but there was no one around, even Muneeza was missing,” they said.
